DuPont™ Styrofoam™ Brand Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) Insulation has transitioned to a low GWP grey color in Canada and across select U.S. states starting January, 2021.
In the U.S., on Dec. 21, 2020, Congress passed the COVID-19 relief / bill. The Bill included the American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act of 2019. DuPont supports a Federal HFC phase-down program that is consistent with the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol. The U.S. federal program also aligns directly with our Shelter 2030 Sustainability Goal of 75% reduction in GHG emissions from 2019 levels. Further updates to come.

When you need a dark reveal behind open-joint façade systems and rainscreen designs, the new grey Styrofoam™ Brand XPS has you covered. These rigid foam boards provide durable and highly efficient continuous insulation (CI) — preventing thermal bridging and adding great energy performance and sustainability to the structure.
Styrofoam™ Brand XPS resists stains, while other products can get unsightly dark stains. These stains can also be seen through the cladding on inadequately insulated wood and steel stud walls.
